Ten incidents which proved to be troublesome for Salman Khan

The Supreme Court of India, on January 14, 2015, put aside the order of Rajasthan High Court staying Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s conviction in a 17-year-old Black Buck hunting case.
The 49-year-old actor was awarded five-year jail term by a trial court in Rajasthan.
Salman Khan made his acting debut with a supporting role in the 1988 film Biwi Ho To Aisi.
The Bollywood superstar, in his 27 years of acting career, has been engulfed in a list of controversies. Let’s take a look:
1999: Salman Khan and his co-stars from the movie Hum Saath Saath Hain were accused of hunting endangered Chinkara and Black Buck deer while shooting in Jodhpur.
2002: On September 28, 2002, Khan was arrested for rash and negligent driving. His car had run into a bakery in Mumbai. One person who was sleeping on the pavement outside the bakery died and three others were injured in the mishap.
This case is also pending in the court.
2002: Salman’s relationship with actress Aishwarya Rai was a well publicised topic in the Indian media.
After their break-up in March 2002, Rai accused him of harassing her. Rai’s parents even lodged a complaint against Salman Khan.
2003: It was when actor Vivek Oberoi held a press conference against Salman Khan after picking up a fight with him over his ill treatment of Aishwarya Rai. Vivek and Aishwarya were allegedly in a relationship at that time.
2005: The news outlets in the year 2005 released what was said to be an illicit copy of a mobile phone call recorded in 2001 by the Mumbai police.
It appeared to be a call in which Salman Khan threatened Aishwarya Rai, in an effort to force her to appear at social events held by Mumbai crime figures.
However, the alleged tape was tested in the government’s Forensic lab in Chandigarh, which concluded that it was fake.
2008: Some religious organisations issued fatwa against the Bollywood actor for celebrating Ganesh Puja at his house in Mumbai.
2008: The actor fought with Shah Rukh Khan at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party and since then the stars have been reportedly engaged in a cold war.  It is rumoured that Shah Rukh Khan cracked a joke which didn’t go well with Salman.
2010: Khan’s interview to a Pakistani channel over the 26/11 attacks drew harsh criticism in India.
During the interview the actor had said, “It was the elite that was targeted this time. Five star hotels and stuff. So they panicked. Then they got up and spoke about it. My question is why not before. Attacks have happened in trains and small towns too, but no one talked about it so much.”
Khan also said that Pakistan was not to be blamed for it, and that the Indian security forces had failed.
2014: Salman Khan, along with Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt and others was slammed for performing at Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav’s Saifai Mahotsav at a time when the state was struggling to rehabilitate riot-hit families in Muzaffarnagar.
During those days, dozens of children died in relief camps in Muzaffarnagar for want of proper rehabilitation.
While Alia Bhatt apologised, Salman Khan and Madhuri reacted angrily stating that they were simply doing their jobs.
2014: Khan was criticized for displaying his diplomatic side in Ahmadabad when he joined then-prime-ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
